The Black Keys
In a time when electronic music is starting to become very popular, and many musicians are not talented, The Black Keys manage to give us that old school style of music our parents grew up on. The rock-n-roll, blues duo, consisting of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, give the music scene a breath of fresh air through all the crap that clutters it today. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, these guys have been putting in work since 2001. In a time when modern day blues is starting to fade, The Black Keys offer a sound full of heavy and colorful rock riffs. They have released seven albums to date be sure to give them a listen. The Black Keys will be playing on Friday of Coachella, and you can check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

SBTRKT
Pronounced "Subtract," Aaron Jerome got his start as a dj in London back in 2008. Now known as SBTRKT, he produces and plays electronic, future garage, and post-dubstep jams. He was born in London and spent his early years remixing songs by Modeselektor, Radiohead, M.I.A., Basement Jaxx, and more. Jerome chose the name SBTRKT as a way to represent the anonymity he wishes to keep. He wants to use his music to express himself, rather than talk about who he is and what he's doing. SBTRKT is all about the music, not the man. In order to further emphasize his anonymity he wears native societal ceremonial masks that have been created and infused with a modern twist. His songs have a relaxing feel with an electro touch. He has been working a lot with Sampha lately, where their shows involve live instruments, triggering vocal loops, and an assortment of other instruments and mixers. SBTRKT will be playing at Coachella 2012 on Saturday, April 14th and 21st!

Zedd
Anton Zaslavski, better known as Zedd, is a 22 year old producer from Germany. His style is described as "Zedd style" which is a mix between electro house, dubstep, and complextro. The man has talent through the roof. He has been playing the piano since age 4, played the drums in a hardcore band at the age of 12, and is now an up and comer in the EDM scene. He's only been producing electronic music since 2009, so the sky is the limit. Zedd is currently signed to Skrillex's label OWSLA. He is playing on Sunday at Coachella so be sure to check him out.

Fanfarlo
Originally started by Swedish musician, Simon Balthazar and Giles D Davis in 2006, Fanfarlo is a London-based indie pop group that can be described in a word, interesting. Their style, sound, videos, and look have a very interesting, stylish, and edgy feel. They combine indie, folk, and post-punk sounds using their vast instrumental skills. Among the instruments used in the group are the trumpet, violin, mandolin, musical saw, and clarinet. Fanfarlo got their name from the Charles Baudelaire novella, La Fanfarlo, and consists of Amos Memon (vocals, drums, percussion), Cathy Lucas (violin, keys, mandolin, glockenspiel, vocals, musical saw), Justin Finch (bass, vocals), Leon Beckenham (trumpet, keyboards, glockenspiel, melodica, vocals), and Simon Balthazar (vocals, guitar, keyboards, mandolin, saxophone, clarinet). Quite a combination of instruments, eh? Seeing Fanfarlo perform their catchy songs will definitely be a sight if they've brought all their instruments along! They will be performing at Coachella 2012 on Sunday, April 15th and 22nd!

First Aid Kit
Can you say chiiiiiilllllll!?! I sure hope so, because Swedish sisters Johanna (23) and Klara (19) Soderberg are going to take your mind to a far away place with their amazing folk music. They started making these soothing sounds in 2007, and were influenced by bands like Fleet Foxes and Joanna Newsom. In 2008 they finally got the recognition they deserved when their video cover of "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" went viral. They've only released two albums, but we can surely look forward to more from the duo. Their family is very lucky to have produced two beautiful daughters, both gifted with such pure and incredible voices. Their melodies are sublime and you can't help but sit back, relax, and let your mind wander when you listen to their tracks. We can look forward to watching them perform at Coachella 2012 on Sunday, April 15th and 22nd!
